What Eco-In means in practice

The methodology connects design decisions with the way a landscape will actually be maintained. The aim is to reduce avoidable corrective work and make irrigation, plant selection and maintenance more coherent with the local climate.

Climate adaptationConsider sun, shade, wind, salinity, rainfall and limestone soils when evaluating planting areas.
Irrigation efficiencyReview zones and schedules according to plant needs and site conditions rather than assuming one watering pattern fits the whole property.
Plant selectionPrioritize native or well-adapted species where they are appropriate for the design, use and maintenance requirements of the site.

Eco-In can be applied to hotel, condominium and shopping-center landscapes as part of maintenance planning, renovation or landscape improvement. The method does not replace the service contract; it guides how decisions are made within the approved scope.

When a property wants to measure water use or another operational result, Verde In can define a baseline and evaluate changes against project-specific evidence.

Is Eco-In a certification?

No. Eco-In is Verde In's own methodology for climate-adapted landscape planning and maintenance. It is not presented as a third-party certification.

Does Eco-In guarantee a fixed percentage of water savings?

No fixed percentage is claimed on this page. Water use depends on the property, irrigation system, vegetation, climate and operating conditions. Measurable savings should be documented project by project.

Can the methodology be used in existing gardens?

Yes. It can be applied when reviewing maintenance, irrigation, plant selection and recurring landscape problems in existing commercial properties.
